rOOki is the most user friendly software, allowing children to use the computer at home or at school, safely and easily.

To do this, rOOki allows you to easily choose what you want every child had the right to see on the screen, and only that.

In this funny environment, secured in full screen, the child will be reassured and will be able to quickly find its favorite softwares, documents and websites through the unique Toolkit at the bottom of the screen.

Whether in the categories Documents, Softwares and Internet, each child will see on the screen and therefore will only have access to what you have chosen for him. He will not be able to thus see all the other files, or the shortcuts on the computer.

It's to Adults, Parents or Teachers to make good choices, for better use by each child, depending on their age and needs, to explain and teach them what is good to do or not do.

rOOki has been designed and developed around the best relationship between the parents, the children and the computer; Parents and Professors will have to remain responsible in the discovery of the practices and with the reduction of the risks on the computer and the Internet.

For that, we worked enormously to create a user-friendly software:

• rOOki can be installed on any PC with Windows © XP or VISTA, without any modification of existing settings, and without specific knowledge;

• rOOki makes possible to create in a few clicks an account for each child by the avatar of their choice and in a secured environment, each child can enjoy his activities, independently of the adults workstation;

• rOOki leaves free choice to all software and files accessible on each account;

• rOOki accepts all the formats of external software and files that you already use on your computer;

• rOOki offers brOOzi, a simplified web browser, secured to "white list" (access restricted to the authorized sites only);

• rOOki offers an unique intuitive toolbar  where are logically grouped together all the functions relevant to each user;

• rOOki offers two private areas to set all the parameters, all very easy to adjust: the Guardian which manages accounts, softwares, files available or not, and authorized websites; and the Administrator which can access to the hard drive contents, and will be able to adjust the rOOki parameters according to users needs (the 2 areas can obviously be managed by the same person).
